new apt

This weekend I may go and check out some new computers and if I find a good one I may by one as I posted last week this one keeps freezing up on my . get one that has windows 7 . some of you remember me moving in july it want good for a well but the last 3 or 4 the landlord is being a jack ass coming in to my apt taken out my light bulbs in my apt saying i can not have light going in the day and it is vary dart in apt as I have no windows any saying I'm using to much hydro I'm ready to report this guy to landlord and tenant act as he has no right do this .coming in to my apt from the door that leads in to his Barer shop the door has no lock on it so he can just wake in any time he wants if i'm not home . some times his 2 kids some pushing the door open and come in the apt and keep packing at angel cat she has to hied under the bed. angel is geting to old for thsand so am I .... i'm on the verge of having a nerves break down . and lot more problems i'm having that want t go in to right know. PS I try and black the door of be putting a big bag of cat litter asset it but some times tay steel get in.

I'm looking to get a new computer soon this one keeps freezing up all the time on my by time i have some one fix this one it wont cost more to go out and by a new one for about $600.00 or and up paying about about 200: 00 to fix this one the it may stall breakdown a few weeks later I find once to start to have problems it keeps on going. I see the new windows 7 is out . I was looking at some new ones a few days a go. so looking to get a new one in 2 to 3 weeks. all keep posting on this one tell i get the new one .

HI some of you rember me doing stuff for the jrdigs show last year.
last week he had a live comedy show and I want and see it . it was vary good and had a good time n did not get home tell about 1 : 30 am that night but had lots of fun he got me up on stage to say hi to every one in the place by saying team this is todd form my show . I was vary nerves as about 60 people was out in the crowed and he got me to tell a dirty joke . blow is info on the show from hie web site

Wednesday night, JR DiGS pops his cherry on stage for everyone to see and he's bringing a few of his friends along with him to join in on the orgy.

Half a dozen comics will be performing standup, a couple rookies will be auditioning for JR's upcoming live comedy tour and one of JR's favourite new bands will be on stage from 8-9pm when all the action begins. Don't miss this once in a lifetime opportunity to see JR DiGS live onstage for the first time ever. It's gonna be a disaster... and awesome... and it's free of charge.

The list of comics joining JR DiGS on his first ever standup comedy appearance is still growing. As of today, you can expect to see onstage with JR DiGs, Barry Taylor, Jordan Armenise, Dan Peters and Manolis Zontanos with two other special guests, yet to be confirmed. Expect a couple of the regulars from JR's TV show to be there for sure to do who-knows-what. Two other first-time comics will be battling it out for a spot on JR's upcoming comedy tour.

The night will kick off with some live music from the band 'Blind Mule' from 8-9pm, when JR hits the stage.

The best seats will obviously be given to people who get there first, so please keep that in mind when making your plans to get there Wednesday night.

And remember, the entire night is FREE of charge!

wow its been getting cold at nights what happened to are summer did not have a great summer this year lots of rain one of the rainiest years on record this year and last year was the same as this year. I hate the cold be glad when it is spring time and winter is over I get so depressed in the winter . not a lot to post on this week just keeping angel company so glad to have angel she helps when I'm depressed .

Cats are different from all other animals in the sense that cats have the unique ability to purr. This odd sound a cat makes is akin to the vibrations of a automobile motor running on idle. While most people are aware that cats purr, they may not have a clear understanding of why a cat will purr. So, to dispel a few myths as to why cats do this, here is a brief overview of what purring is as well as its purpose.

Oddly, despite many decades (if not hundreds of years) of veterinary medicine study, it has never been understood how cats are able to make a purring sound. The biology of a cat is not far removed from many other mammals. Yet, cats have the special ability to purr while other animals are completely unable to do this. Why do cats develop the ability to purr when others do not? Most likely, it is the natural evolutionary development of a trait necessary for survival. Specific evolutionary traits are common among all animals and with cats purring is among several behavioral traits that these pets have embodied.

For example, have you ever wondered why cats like to perch atop high places? This is a survival mechanism that has allowed cats to survive through thousands of years through evading predators. By being perched high, cats can easily scan movement in a very expansive perimeter. This way, they can spot encroaching predators (and potential prey) almost immediately. Such traits have become ingrained in cats over the years as a means of self-preservation. Purring is a similar derivative of such behavior.

When a cat is born it is both mute and blind. This makes its ability to communicate with its mother difficult. So, when the kitten is distressed, it will not be able to let the mother know it is sick or ill. Conversely, the kitten cannot tell its mother that it is doing well through meowing or through its behavior. As a result, cats developed the ability to purr. By purring, the kittens convey to its mother that it is fine and doing well.

Why do cats still do this when they reach adulthood?

When cats where first integrated into people's homes as pets, they were not completely sure what to make of their human owners. Cats are not pack animals and prefer to be solitary. However, they do certainly appreciate the human that opts to care for and feed them. Now, cats have a very strong memory and can recall their time as a kitten. As a result, they will look at a human being as a surrogate mother. As such, when the cat's owner allows the cat to sit on his/her lap or pets the cat, the cat will start to purr. This is a sign of happiness, safety, and contentment in the presence of an owner. Once again, the cat is conveying the message that it is ok. Any why should it not be? It is in the presence of a loving owner that cares for the cat's every need!

So, when you hear your cat purr, you can rest assured that your cat is happy, safe, and displaying affection towards you. Consider it a cat's version of a term of endearment.

Did you know that Hamilton is home to the largest miller of dry mustard in the world?

G.S. Dunn Limited is that company, and they are a strong presence at the Mustard Festival each year, showing the history of mustard, explaining its many uses - both in cooking and for medicinal purposes - and showcasing some of the most creative mustard producers in Southern Ontario.

Downtown Hamilton, where the Mustard Festival is held, is also home to some of the best restaurants in the region, small and large, and many of them participate in the Mustard Festival, serving up great food, all with a 'zip' of mustard. Many have also contributed some of their chefs' personal favourites in our annual cookbook.

International Village BIA created Hamilton's Annual Mustard Festival; our first year was 1998 when we kicked off the opening of Phase 1 of Ferguson Station, Ferguson Avenue North, between King and King William Streets in the heart of International Village.

Our first year attendance numbered appsroximately 1,500 people, with "dancing on Ferguson Avenue", to the sounds of bands like the Toronto All Star Big Band. After 10 successful years, our attendance has grown to over 15,000 people, and they are still dancing on Ferguson Avenue.

Born in Saint John, New Brunswick
February 9, 1936

An imagination taller than the Rocky Mountains. A wanderlust that has taken him further than a Northern Ontario bush pilot. A guitar, a pair of boots, and a knack for writing songs about Canada can only begin to describe the man that Canada has come to know and love as Stompin' Tom Connors.

Born in Saint John, New Brunswick, Tom's youngest years were spent living hand-to-mouth with his mother, until he was taken from her and placed in the care of the Children's Aid. From there, he was adopted into the Aylward family of Skinner's Pond, PEI, where he lived until he began his hitchhiking career at the age of 15.

Tom traveled to almost every corner of Canada throughout the next 13 years - from the rocky coastline of Newfoundland to the arctic desolation of the Yukon - and a hundred thousand points in between. He could rarely be found without his guitar; even when he had a "real" job (which never lasted long), he would still write and sing songs about the people he met and the places he visited.

Money was a scarcity for Tom during this period in the 1950's and early 1960's; it may also have been his big "break", when he found himself a nickel short of a beer at the Maple Leaf Hotel in Timmins, Ontario. The bartender, Gaet Lepine, agreed to give Tom a beer if he would play a few songs. These few songs turned into a 13-month contract to play at the hotel, a weekly spot on the CKGB radio station in Timmins, eight 45-RPM recordings, and the end of the beginning for Tom Connors.

Tom's recording career picked up in 1969 when he signed with Dominion Records; over the next two years, he released 6 original albums, a compilation album, and a 5-album set of traditional music. He subsequently left Dominion Records to help form Boot Records - a company that would see 10 more original albums by Tom and a myriad of recordings from many other Canadian artists.

The album "Gumboot Cloggeroo", released in 1979, would be Tom's last. In a fit of frustration and disappointment, Tom returned all six of his Juno Awards, as a statement of protest against the Americanization of the Canadian music industry. This began Tom's self-imposed exile from the music industry - a music industry that would not embrace his homespun and fiercely patriotic brand of music.

Tom has never been a quitter; his dogged persistence and spirit to succeed rose in 1986 with his formation of A-C-T Records - a new label that would record and promote Canadian music. Tom began touring and releasing records again in 1988, and his signing with EMI Canada would eventually allow for the complete re-release of his entire catalogue of music. Tom would also receive the Order of Canada, an Honourary Doctorate of Laws from St. Thomas University, the key to the city of Peterborough, Ontario, and countless other honors.

To date, Tom has put out 20 albums of original material, several children's books, an autobiography (with a second-one coming), a movie, a television series, and countless memories for the Canadians that he has touched with his verses of Canada.
